Terms of Service

Last updated October 28, 2026

These terms apply when a restaurant (“you”) uses Scanly to publish menus, QR codes, loyalty cards, review pages and table ordering. By creating an account you accept them. Guests who only read a menu or order at a table don't enter into a contract with Scanly.

Your account

Keep your login safe and tell us if someone else gets access. You are responsible for what you and the team members you invite do in your account. You must be allowed to act for the restaurant you add.

Plans and billing

Your content

Menus, prices, photos and texts stay yours. You give us the right to host, translate, format and show them to your guests, and to show your public menu in search results. You are responsible for their accuracy — especially prices, allergens and dietary labels. Scanly's AI reads and translates menus to save you time; check its results before publishing, because you remain responsible for what your menu says.

Fair use

Don't use Scanly for anything illegal, misleading or harmful, to collect guests' data without a reason, to send spam, or to put excessive load on the service. Review pages must not filter out unhappy guests from public review sites; Scanly shows every guest the public review link.

Guest data

For guest data (orders, reviews, loyalty cards) you are the controller and Scanly is your processor, as described in our Privacy Policy. We process it only to provide the service, keep it confidential and secure, and help you answer guests' requests.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep menus online but can't promise the service is never interrupted. We may improve or change features; if we remove something you pay for, we tell you in advance.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, after a warning where reasonable. After an account is closed its menus go offline and its data is deleted within 30 days.

Liability

Scanly is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost profits, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
